Montenegro is a lesser-known gem in Europe with a fantastic coastline along the Adriatic coast. It has some great places to visit on a summer holiday and our favourite spot includes the UNESCO World Heritage site of Kotor with its small but pretty beach as well as the beautiful old town. A particular highlight of Kotor is to head up the fortress where you can enjoy fantastic views over the bay and of the mountains. Another great place to go includes Budva with it’s sandy beaches, perfect for relaxing in the sun. Montenegro has lots more to offer including scenic nature spots and national parks, such as Lovcen National Park and Durmitor National Park.
But it’s not just the natural beauty that makes Montenegro a must-visit destination, it’s also the warm hospitality of the locals, the delicious cuisine, and the history and culture.
With its stunning coastline, towering mountains, and charming medieval towns, Montenegro offers an unforgettable travel experience for those seeking adventure, relaxation, or a bit of both.
