A multi-destination trip is a great way to travel and involves visiting multiple places during the same trip. It’s a fantastic way to see the world and comes with heaps of benefits. Here are reasons why you should go on a multi-destination trip.
1. You can see more places
To start with, an obvious reason to go on a multi-destination trip is to see more destinations. There are so many fantastic places all around the world that it would take forever to keep going back and forth. Instead plan your trip to arrive at one destination and leave from another, then before you know it you may have visited more places than you could ever have imagined.
2. It can be cost-effective
Multi-destination trips can be very cost-effective, as you can hop between countries or cities that are close together, as opposed to heading back to your home country each time. If you are flying you may also be able to get fantastic flight deals as you’ll have more options of arrival and departure airports. You could also travel by train or bus, such as through Flixbus which is available in Europe and offers bargain tickets between destinations. This allows you to travel for a lot less and is also a good way to save money when visiting expensive cities.
3. It should be fun and challenging
Planning a multi-destination trip is often fun and challenging. You’ll have to do research into what works and make everything fit into an itinerary. If you’re not the most organised person yet, then this kind of vacation may test and improve those skills. Even if you do plan a trip and make mistakes you’ll be able to learn from those, and then when you plan your next trip you’ll be a lot more experienced and able to organise even more complicated itineraries.
4. You’ll be excited about each destination
Sometimes when you spend a while at a destination you get bored and feel you need a change. But when you go on a multi-destination trip you’ll find yourself constantly getting excited about your next stop. The only stop you may not look forward to is when you arrive back home.
5. You could experience different cuisines
If you are travelling between quite different destinations and love trying new cuisines then a multi-destination trip will provide fantastic opportunities. For example, a trip to visit multiple places in Asia could include Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam, and at each of those you’ll find the food a bit different but equally delicious.
6. They’ll be more photo opportunities
If you’re into photography and like to share your pictures on social media such as on Instagram, then a well planned multi-destination trip would be perfect for you. It should allow you to capture bucket loads of images for your library. Then when you return home you might have enough content to mix up your feed for a good amount of time before your next trip.
7. It may be better for the environment
If you’re visiting destinations which are far away from your home country, such as if you’re from Europe and visiting Asia then it would make sense and be better for the environment if you visit more than one place during your trip.
